Our School

MacGregor enjoys an excellent reputation for academic, cultural and sporting success.

Since it opened in 1969, MacGregor has always been one of the largest schools in Queensland. This is due, in no small part, to its wide and dynamic curriculum and its expectation that all students will do the very best they possibly can.

The school caters for a diverse community. Students come from a wide range of socio economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. With this richness of culture, a tradition of multiculturalism and tolerance permeates the school.

MacGregor State High School works in partnership with parents and the community to ensure that our students receive a high quality education appropriate to their needs. We believe that it is one which will guide them to progress towards the attainment of their full potential as individuals and valued members of society.

The educational and welfare needs of students determine all activities.
